Who is this Steve guy?

This is Steve from Steve’s Small Engine Saloon.  I thought I’d tell you a little about myself and why I created this channel.
 
If you’ve already watched any of my videos then you know that I am devoted to creating HOW TO videos to teach people how to repair their own outdoor power equipment.  My goal is simple….to save you time, money and frustration when you Do It Yourself instead of taking your equipment to a shop! 

What you see in my videos is the real me. I have a thirst for knowledge and a thirst for beer.  You will find me most of the time tinkering in the garage with a cold one. 

I started fixing things in high school when I learned that I liked working with my hands.  I found that I really liked working on small engines so even before I graduated, I jumped straight into working at a small engine rental shop in Alberta. Since then I have worked in a number of small engine repair shops with a few years in between running my own home renovation business. In recent years I worked at Walkers Saw Shop which is well known around the world for their specialty of Walkerizing chainsaws.  Now I run my own business and I love being my own boss.

I try to keep up to date with the industry and have attended numerous service update schools for Echo, Stihl and Husqvarna to obtain the latest information on their products, technical updates and new repair techniques. 

I have always wanted to find a way that I could share the knowledge I have learned over the years from service schools, other mechanics, experimenting, and just simply years and years of experience, and YouTube has become my outlet. Combined with my love of beer, this is how Steve's Small Engine Saloon was born.  

I hope that I can help many of you out there repair your own lawn and garden equipment so you can enjoy the satisfaction of Doing It Yourself like I do!!
